This new residence was built on an acreage site in Rochedale, south of Brisbane occupying an elevated position with rolling views to bushland. The house is designed around a central courtyard with an advanced existing tree. The floor plan is one room deep allowing internal spaces to connect to the site prioritising solar access and cross ventilation.
The organic materials of bagged and white painted brick, solid timber and dark metal elements blend the home into the bushland landscape, affording an enduring quality of architecture.

The clients owned a collectible car that became a centerpiece of the architecture. A dedicated display window was created beside the central entry foyer, allowing the car to be lifted from the garage and showcased like a piece of art.
As you ascend the stairs, the car becomes the focal view — a daily reminder of its beauty.
