Within the Gold Coast hinterland is Tallebudgera Valley. Set on a 160-acre rural parcel of land that rises from the creek flats of Tallebudgera Creek to densely treed escarpments, the local planning laws in Tallebudgera Valley enabled a main house and a care-takers house to be built on the one site. The main house is set high on an elevated cleared hill with the caretakers house sited overlooking the cleared creek flats beside an aged Moreton Bay Fig.

The rural and bushland allotment enabled a county retreat home to be built for a family, with guest accommodation in a separate, connected pavilion.  The infinity edge pool framing the view, and the long modern architectural home capping the top of the mountain, blending with the landscape.  The use of concrete floors, and concrete elements provide a raw hardwearing rustic feel complimented with hard wood timbers and warm dark interiors.
